Noblis is hiring a SmallSat Systems Engineer with a TS/SCI clearance in Chantilly, VA. 


The Systems Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) will be repsonsible for the following areas:   


Technical SME/Programmatic Support

  • Support design, testing, and launch reviews to assess contractor readiness and verification of deliverables
  • Support development of entrance, exit, and success criteria, as well as traceability/ verification of all requirements
  • Provide subject matter expert-quality technical/operational support and guidance to the government, including technical analysis and recommendations across potential architectures, proofs of concept, prototype development, and requirements development
  • Support the Government PM/COTR in coordinating and establishing SOW objectives, reviewing contractor proposals for acquisitions, defining/drafting Task Agreements and interagency Agreement objectives, developing RFPs for contract ECPs
  • Assist the Government in preparing materials/briefings in support of periodic reviews such as PMRs and the MID Board

Testing & Integration Support

  • Support oversight of component, subsystem, and system level integration of SmallSat bus or payload components, verifying appropriate levels of testing is accomplished
  • Support development and / or review of test plans and procedures for integration activities, providing feedback on level of detail, completeness, and readiness for testing
  • Support document reviews for launch readiness reviews, test readiness reviews, demonstration conops reviews, providing feedback to customer about gaps and level of completeness
  • Support operations assessment through on-site reviews of mission ops center hardware and software, providing recommendations on readiness for software and operators


Required Qualifications:

  • Must have and maintain an ACTIVE TS/SCI Clearance and be able to obtain additional clearance tickets or a polygraph as required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineer in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautic, Structural or similar
  • 5+ years of Satellite engineering experience 
  • Experience in small satellites, cubesat systems
  • Must have at least 8 years overall experience
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills required
