Responsibilities

Noblis ESI is hiring a Security Systems Engineer with a Top Secret SCI clearance in Warner Robins, GA.

 

The Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) is a weapons system which produces military intelligence collected by systems such as: the U-2 Dragonlady, RQ-4 Global Hawk, MQ-9 Reaper and MQ-1 Predator.  It consists of computer hardware and software connected together in a computer network, devoted to processing and dissemination of information such as images.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting complex technical infrastructures, hardware, and system software components. Noblis ESI is seeking a skilled Host Based Security System (HBSS) Engineer to work as part of a technical operations team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, and the ability to work within a varied team of network and technical support personnel.

 

In this role, you will: 

  • Resolve software and related problems associated on HBSS, SCCM, and Windows
  • Perform application patches, updates and tech bulletins in both the development and production environment
  • Assist Systems Lead with related tasks as required
  • Assist Network Administrators to maintain the environment as required
  • Coordinate with Management, Security, Asset Management, Tech Bench and Service Desk teams as necessary for problem support and resolution
  • In certain situations, may be required to function as a technical lead or supervise other team members
  • Continuously look for process and quality improvement
  • Ensure team documentation is accurate and maintained
  • Conduct gap analyses as needed, and provide results and recommendations to management for review
  • Conduct other duties and corporate responsibilities as needed

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must possess and maintain a current and active TS/SCI clearance, willingness to undergo CI Poly as required
  • 3+ years of Windows system administration is required
  • Knowledge of Active Directory (AD), DNS and DHCP, Group Policy Object (GPO), Remote Support Technologies
  • Must possess active HBSS Admin certificate or have the ability to obtain within 6 months from date of hire.
  • Working knowledge of managing patches for software certifications, data collection, and reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of network administration and possess network configuration management skills
  • DoD 8140/8570 Compliance IAT Level II or higher required (i.e. Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security active certification)
  • Windows security (patching, AV, GPO, authentication, etc.)
  • Experience with DISA STIGs, ATOs, and CCRIs
  • Must be willing to travel (4-8 times per year, 3-4 day average trip duration)

DESIRED Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT related discipline is preferred.
  • Experience or strong knowledge of ArcSight is highly desired
  • CompTIA CASP certification (or equivalent) is desired.
  • Experience working within a process improvement environment such as CMMI desired
  • Experience with best practice methodologies such as ITIL desired
  • Experience reporting with Systems Management Center, Systems Management Server or SCCM 2012 desired
  • Experience with supporting a DoD Production Environment desired
  • MCSA and/or MCSE 2012/2008 is desired
