Responsibilities include but are not limited to

    • Providing strategic consulting on DevOps best practices and how to implement modern software practices into development teams
    • Establishing effective deployment and migration strategies for software and application data through the deployment pipeline (i.e. development, testing, staging and production environments)
    • Working in virtual environments including VMs and containerization
    • Standardizing, automating and documenting setup of development and production environments
    • Working with infrastructure and operations teams to establish monitoring, backup and logging procedures for all environments
    • Proposing and implementing enhancements to improve the security, performance and reliability of the environments


    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field or equivalent experience
    • 2+ years of experience of direct support for the administration of software applications and/or Linux systems
    • Experience in automating large scale deployments with modern configuration and deployment management systems using configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, and Docket
    • Experience deploying and managing various development stacks
    • Strong scripting skills in Python and UNIX shell
    • Experience with CI/CD best practices
